🔎 What to Watch For
The sheet hands you the formulas, but it leaves out a few things students always need. Keep these in mind — then test yourself below.
Not on the sheet
The cube
There's no cube formula. Use V = s³ and SA = 6s² (it's just a rectangular prism with equal sides).
Never defined
Radius vs. diameter
Radius = center to edge. Diameter = all the way across = 2 × radius.
Two formulas
Circumference
C = πd or C = 2πr (they're equal since d = 2r). When you know the diameter, C = πd is quickest.
Sort them
2D vs. 3D
Area, perimeter & circumference are 2D (flat). Volume & surface area are 3D (solid).
What it means
B = area of the base
In V = Bh, B is the area of the base (for a cylinder, B = πr²).
Wordy on the sheet
Mean vs. median
Mean = the average (add & divide). Median = the middle value once they're in order.
Hidden rules
Simple interest, I = Prt
The sheet doesn't say it: t must be in years. For the rate, use the % button or convert to a decimal (4% → 0.04) — either one.

Know all the algebra
You'll use only a handful of the shape formulas, but expect every formula in the algebra section — slope, the quadratic formula, Pythagorean, simple interest.
The big idea: don't memorize — get fast at finding the right formula and knowing the small things the sheet leaves out.
